My own project

I start working on my own project about dogs. Can't say you much about it now, but if I finish it one day, I think it will be really cool :) Christmas illustrations with dogs wich I showed you will be included in this project too.

And this work will be part of my project too ^__^

Postcards

Yay! I got the postcards with my snowmen, it's so exciting for me :))

Quality is really good and I'm very happy.

They were printed on 300 gram paper and size is A6 (148-105mm).

Cockers

This picture I made for my mum. She wanted Christmas/New Year illustration with cocker spaniel...why cocker? Just because we are a proud owners of two wonderful american cocker spaniels (the best dogs in the world :) ) I drew here a little tiger too - the symbol of the next year.

This is a speed paint I made for Chiustreem topic "Funny".

Always hungry cocker is fighting with the snowman for his carrot  ^__^

Christmas cards

I drew two Christmas cards and I think I will do them more :)  I want to made some cards for my family for Christmas and New Year.

Bunny boy and Christmas

Today it was snowing and I am almost in Christmas mode :)
I know it's a little bit early, but anyway…^__^

So here is a Bunny boy who is waiting for Santa and drink hot chocolate.

3 steps of my work + Derwent pencils

I decided to show you 3 steps of work on my "Home for little elves" drawing. I think it might be pretty interesting.

I use for my drawings Derwent Inktense pencils. It is very interesting to work with them. They have a lot of possibilities (you can use them even for silk paintings).

So, shortly about how I work:

My 1. step is cleaning the sketch.

 

2. step - colouring. This is a very important step. I need to choose colours very carefully, because they change their tones later. For combining colours I am using colour chart what I made for myself.

Sometimes you can finish your work on this step, if you don’t want to use water and you like how your drawing looks (for example my “Pea fairy” ).

3. step - applying water and adding details. As you can see the tones of colours have changed after applying water.

So, this is it :)

Illustration for poem by Aleksey Tolstoy (Russian poet, novelist and dramatist). This poem is about child and devious dragonflies. Dragonflies said that they love him, that they will teach him how to fly, but when child ran to them he was dragged into pond.

Случайно наткнулась на него и прочитав его так точно и не разобралась – стрекозы хорошие или плохие? Поискала ответ и вот что нашла: «Первоначальная редакция стихотворения была вдвое больше: после описания весёлого хоровода стрекоз рассказывалось о том, как ребёнок побежал на их зов и был затянут в омут.» (источник Викитека ). Значит не зря меня терзали смутные сомнения по поводу  доброжелательности стрекоз :)

Fairytale

I really like fairy tales, fantasy and adventure books. When I was a child, I read a lot, those books were like gates into the world full of magic, adventures and incredible creatures. It was fun.

Tall and grumpy

Why is she grumpy? I don't know... Maybe she was waiting for prince on a white horse, not the hobbit... or she is a hungry model and she wants meat, not a flower... What do you think?

I think they are nice, but I'm not 100% satisfied with them, so I will drew definitely better illustrations for my story ...in the future :P
