Paintings and brooches with dogs

I did some digital paintings of different dog breeds, and used them for making clay brooches for some breeders as a custom work. Here you can see yorkshire terrier, saluki, english cocker spaniel, cavalier king charles spaniel, airedale terrier and of course chihuahua.

 

 

 

 

For making brooches, I used a very thin matt photo paper for prints, oven baked clay, PVA glue and varnish. I'll try to make a little tutorial with pictures next time, and show you the process of creating clay brooches.

 

And for those, who are interested in having one of this cute dog brooches: very soon they will be available in my Etsy shop for everybody! Yay!

I want to make this painting traditionally with acrylics on cardboard or canvas, so this digital painting meant to be just a sketch (color test), but I like how it looks and I thought to share it with you.

May be you noticed the difference in style between this and my previous works… well it’s the graffiti influence. I become very excited about street art and I would be happy to go out and try to give color to some gray ugly walls, but unfortunately I’m not able to do this right now… sooo walls are in safe for the moment and can relax, but I’ll return to this thought later ^^

"Spring" - my first animated short film

My first animated short film is done! Ehey!!!
It is very short and pretty simple, but I hope you’ll enjoy it ^^
It’s called “Spring”.

I’ve asked before will I succeed or fail… well, let’s see:
-I’ve had no experience and no knowledge about animating in Adobe flash, but with this work I’ve learned a lot of new things and developed new skills.
-I’ve had time to finish my short until 20 march (I’ve started in the beginning of march) and I finished it week earlier.
-I did all work by myself.
So for me it’s definitely SUCCESS!
I thought before that it is an impossible mission for me…but I did it and I’m very happy :)
Also I’ve had so much fun working on this short!

Bubbles and SAI

I tried another painting program - PaintTool SAI and I really enjoyed working with it. It's very good for linework, there is special layer and tools for this...and a lot of other interesting things :) so, I will certainly continue to paint with SAI.

And now I want to tell you about my forgotten project from the last year. I worked a lot on this, but the final result didn't satisfied me enough and I neglected this project. But overall I think that idea was pretty good and maybe I'll return to this latter and redo all things I don't like.

P.S. I like the view from my window... it's evening and already dark, but street lights and falling snow makes everything brighter... sky has a nice pinkish hue... very beautiful!
I love watching at the streetlamps and see how snow is falling down... it's mesmerizing me :)
